the landlady, namely corrina, got humped by my ex boyfriend over the pool table at the spread eagle when she ran that, so everytime i look at her it makes me laugh, you should all do the same, imagine her getting humped, it kinda takes away all the ill feeling you could have for her as the image is a very funny one!!

All those people that seem to think running a pub is a breeze and shouldn't have standards, the Rock and the Corinthian may be more to your liking. The landlady can be straight but she has to be with some of the visitors there, she is also very funny and very helpful.

Karina is very rude, the only reason people go there is for the convenience and to socialise with other people in there i work in a shop and constantly hear of people being barred. Hurry up and go to Derby fatty!!!!!!! Karina's mob 07908816699

I came online to check as to whether The Harpers had a Bed & Breakfast facility and was amazed to read the reviews posted. I Live in Whitworth ( just outside Rochdale ) and have visited the Harpers with Family who live in Corby. On these occasions i have found The Harpers to have a family atmosphere, the staff are warm & friendly and the food is delicious. Reading the bad posts online i presume they are mostly written by adolecsents who did not like the rules placed by the landlady to keep the Harpers to the kind of high standards that they have become accustomed to.

I visit the Harpers quiet often. I went there for my 40th and my daughter is having her Hen night there. I find the landlady very pleasant. I feel that in this day and age with the amount of trouble and anti social behaviour that is occurring you have to have the kind of attitude that the landlady has. Maybe some of the people who have posted their opinions need to get of there high horse. She can,t be that bad as the place is packed constantly.

I think it is the nicest pub/resturaunt i have ever eaten at, the landlady and staff are the nicest mannered people i have met and the food and atmosphere are fantastic. I would go every day if i could. The amount of occasions we have had there that have been fantastic we go there all the time.

I found the bar manager and the owner both to be very rude and unhelpful. The other staff are brilliant, friendly and funny. Which is always good when you are out to enjoy yourself. What a shame this doesn't seem to rub off onto their bosses! I won't be going there again untill there is new management.

Very nice pub with very nice atmosphere. Such a shame that its image will be tarnished so long as the arrogant, fat, ugly stuck up owner continues to try and run the establishment. wont be going there again.Someone needs their p45, sharp!

I am not very happy the way the peole who work there get treated. I was there on Monday and the owner was shouting and screaming at her staff like they were her dogs infront of everybody.

The land lady or Harpers brook is not very pleasent and therefore should go. This pub could be run 10 times better with someone else. SHE needs to come down off her high horse.

I visit Harpers often,its a safe & sound enviroment.
Thats the reason for the rules to keep it that way.Beers good, foods good & people are plesant. The land lady has a dry sence of humour and is quite witty. The staff are generaly polite and helpfull.I Dont really know what the outher reviewers are wineing about.
